Registrations

You can apply for a master’s degree in Biostatistics:

-Professionals in the areas of Statistics, Mathematics, Health, Medical and Biological Sciences, as well as Biomedicine, Environmental and Agricultural Engineering and professionals in related areas.

Number of vacancies:

-The course will offer up to 15 (fifteen) places per year for regular students with broad competition, plus 2 (two) places for quota students (Blacks and Indigenous people) and another 1 (one) for foreigners.

Required Documents:

  • Registration form for the SIGPOS system of the Academic Affairs Directorate (DAA/UEM), duly completed, signed and with the 3×4 photo posted, according to the SIGPOS Tutorial available at the link (document in pdf format): https://npd.uem.br/sgipos/index.zul 
  • Ficha de Inscrição of the candidate for the selection process for a regular student of the Postgraduate Program in Biostatistics – Class 2023, duly completed, signed and 3×4 photo posted, according to the model available in the annexes of the Edital nº 007-2023-PBE (document in pdf format);
  • Copy of the undergraduate diploma (front and back), or equivalent document, or even a document that proves the candidate is able to complete the undergraduate course before starting postgraduate studies. If the candidate has already completed his degree, but does not have a diploma, he must complete, sign and forward the “Termo de Compromisso para aluno sem Diploma de Graduação”, according to the model available in the annexes of the Edital nº 007-2023-PBE  (document in pdf format);
  • Copy of undergraduate transcript (document in PDF format);
  • Copy of birth or marriage certificate (document in PDF format);
  • Copy of identity card (RG) (document in PDF format);
  • Copy of CPF (document in PDF format);
  • Copy of Voter ID (document in PDF format);
  • Copy of the reservist certificate or exemption from incorporation, for males. (document in PDF format);
  • ANNEX I – only for self-declared black and indigenous candidates;
  • ANNEX II and ANNEX III – only for self-declared candidates as Persons with Disabilities (PwD);
  • Curriculum Lattes documented with the last 3 (three) years of production (merge all supporting documents into a single file in PDF format);
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (não obrigatórias, e estas deverão ser enviadas separadamente pelo professor que for indicar o candidato), conforme modelo disponível nos anexos do Edital nº 007-2023-PBE (documento em formato pdf, via email ou correspondência comum)

  1. Registrations on-line: 01/11/2023 a 15/12/2023;
  2. Acceptance of registrations: 22/01/2024;
  3. CV defense period: 01 e 02/02/2024;
  4. Disclosure of results: 08/02/2024;
  5. Appeal deadline: 14/02/2024 a 16/02/2024;
  6. Matrícula dos alunos regulares e não regulares: 19/02/2024 a 01/03/2024;
  7. Scheduled start of classes: 04/03/2024.
